Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Testing and Inspection Engineer to join our team at Kingston Barnes Ltd. As an Electrical Testing and Inspection Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out fixed wire Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR's) on a wide variety of projects, identifying faults with electrical systems, and resolving them.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct thorough inspections and testing of customer's electrical installations, including Emergency Lighting testing and remedial repairs as required.
  2. Prepare and submit all relevant reports and certification associated with your inspection and testing.
  3. Diagnose and repair electrical issues in commercial and domestic electrical systems, including fault finding and rewiring.
  4. Assess the materials and hours required to carry out repairs and provide reports to the office.
  5. Perform routine maintenance and testing on commercial, industrial, agricultural, and domestic electrical systems to ensure installations meet manufacturer's standards.
  6. Ensure high-quality workmanship that upholds Company standards, complies with building codes, and follows safety requirements.
  7. Work independently to identify and present faults and concerns in electrical systems without explicit direction.
  8. Install electrical systems to current BS standards.
  9. Participate in the on-call rota to attend sites and provide emergency electrical support.
  10. Perform other electrical duties outside of core working hours as requested by the Manager.
Requirements
  1. SVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds 2360/2330 Part 1 & 2 qualification.
  2. Previous electrical experience working in an electrical testing environment.
  3. Friendly and approachable attitude with a flexible mindset, good customer focus, and service.
  4. Knowledge of Policies, Processes, and Procedures, including Safety.
  5. Full UK driver's license.
