Automotive Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at Volvo Car UK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining all vehicles across the brand, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair.
Key Responsibilities:
- Servicing and Maintenance: Ensure all vehicles are serviced and maintained to the highest standards, adhering to Volvo's brand parameters.
- Fault Diagnosis and Repair: Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic faults, including warranty-approved work.
- MOT Testing: Conduct Department of Transport (MOT) testing duties, if qualified.
- Job Cards and Electronic Write-Ups: Complete job cards and electronic write-ups on franchise platforms.
- Vehicle Health Checks: Perform electronic vehicle health checks (eVHC's).
- Support and Training: Support Apprentice Technicians and participate in ongoing training at Volvo's training and development centre.
Requirements:
- Technical Expertise: Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic, with technical expertise to work at pace.
- Team Player: A team-player who is comfortable operating with set processes and procedures.
- Qualifications: A qualified Vehicle Technician with an industry-recognised qualification, ideally level 3 but level 2 will be considered (IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent).
- MOT Qualification: Ability to carry out MOT's is desirable, but not essential as full training will be offered.
- Health and Safety: Motivated, dedicated, and organised with a focus on Health & Safety in the workplace.
What We Offer:
- Salary: £27,000 - £43,000 per year (depending on experience).
- Bonus Scheme: Take home an extra £600 - £1600 per month.
- Holidays: 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays.
- Tools and Equipment: Volvo tools supplied.
- Pension: Company pension.
- Training and Development: Full manufacturers training provided and regular development courses (including Electric Vehicle and High Voltage Technician training).
