Key Responsibilities
  • Review competition and call briefing documents to identify key requirements for a winning proposal
  • Lead meetings with consortium members to define concepts and project ideas, ensuring a clear and concise narrative

  • Conduct due diligence and techno-economic feasibility studies to ensure proposals are well-researched and effective
  • Develop proposal concepts through crafting a logical narrative that covers need, innovations, and solutions, delivered in a detailed and well-structured final proposition
  • Provide regular updates on proposal status to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability
  • Drive high-quality information exchange between industrial, academic, and research consortium partners, facilitating collaboration and innovation
  • Assist with knowledge transfer workshops to define innovative concepts and solutions for clients, leveraging expertise and driving results
  • Be responsible and accountable for proposals, ensuring they are prepared to a high standard, evaluated, and submitted on time
  • Report information to inform the development of the Iconiq team and proposition, driving continuous improvement and innovation
Requirements
  • Proven track record in crafting winning proposals for national and international funding bodies, with a strong focus on Innovate UK, European Commission, Eureka, and other funding proposals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including SMEs, research institutions, and multinational industry leaders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and challenge complex technical information
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, with a proactive attitude and tenacious drive to deliver high-quality results
  • Experience working to immovable deadlines, with a focus on meeting client expectations and delivering results
  • Strong interest in technology and innovation, with a passion for driving business growth and development
  • Education to degree level (or equivalent experience) in a science or business-related subject, with post-graduate qualifications (PhD, MSc, MBA) in these fields being advantageous but not essential
