Relationships Australia NSW is seeking a skilled Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner to join our team. As a Family Mediation Specialist, you will provide high-quality services to families experiencing post-separation conflict, helping them reach agreement on parenting arrangements and resolve issues related to finances and property settlement.
Key Responsibilities- Provide risk screening and assessment, preparation for family dispute resolution, and mediate joint sessions using specialized approaches, including Child Inclusive Practice.
- Offer information to clients about separation, counseling, and legal processes, and make referrals as required, guided by the Family Law Act and Regulations.
- Work in a child-focused approach, demonstrating a strong understanding of relationship dynamics, domestic and family violence, child safety, trauma-informed practice, diversity awareness, and mental health and wellbeing.
- Registration with the Australian Government Attorney General's Department Register of Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners is essential.
- A tertiary background in Law, Social Sciences, Social Work, or Mediation/Dispute Resolution.
- Demonstrated high-level skills in family dispute resolution, including assessments and mediation interventions.
- Strong clinical and supervision framework to deepen our practice excellence.
