About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Affinity Trust. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with their daily needs, promoting their independence, and enhancing their overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support to the individual, including assistance with daily living tasks, medication management, and mobility.
  • Encourage and support the individual to participate in activities that promote their physical and mental wellbeing, such as exercise, hobbies, and social events.
  • Assist the individual with household tasks, meal preparation, and grocery shopping.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and respectful relationship with the individual, their family, and other professionals involved in their care.
  • Collaborate with the individual's support network to ensure their needs are met and their goals are achieved.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a care or support role, preferably with individuals with similar needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with individuals, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and shifts.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle (automatic).
