About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiving Professional to join our team at FirstLight Home Care of Southern Maine. As a Personal Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients, enabling them to maintain their independence and live comfortably in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with bathing, hygiene, and mobility needs
  • Provide walking and transfer assistance, as well as posture positioning
  • Offer continence and toileting care, as well as oral hygiene
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the best possible care for our clients

Requirements

  • Previous caregiving experience is preferred, but not required
  • A genuine passion for caregiving and a desire to make a positive impact on others' lives
  • A commitment to providing high-quality care and support to our clients
  • Empathy, patience, kindness, and respect for the dignity and autonomy of our clients
  • Ability to carry out direction, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to effectively manage the demands of the role and prioritize tasks
