We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead our project team in the development of cutting-edge electrical systems for the automotive industry. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating electrical modules and systems into our vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of electrical systems and modules, including ECUs, sensors, and actuators.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical systems meet functional safety, legislative, and environmental requirements.
- Develop and maintain requirements specifications, timing plans, and systems calibration and validation requirements.
- Manage compliance with relevant homologation standards, ISO26262, and EuroNCAP.
- Represent the Electrical Department in status meetings and engineering reviews.
- Lead system review, verification, and validation activities, including FMEAs, test planning, and functionality tests.
- Manage third-party suppliers and coordinate with Procurement, Logistics, and Quality teams.
- Provide support and training to Manufacturing and Service departments.
- Responsible for commodity attributes such as Quality, Costs, Timing, and Weight.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on automotive systems.
- Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems, ECUs, and other electrically wired components.
- Experience with CAN, FlexRay, automotive ethernet, LIN networks, and vehicle diagnostics.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, including ISO26262 and EuroNCAP.
- Experience in design for good electrical and EMC performance.
- Established contacts within the automotive ecosystem, including Tier 1 and component suppliers.
- Knowledge of hybrid and full-electric vehicle architectures and wiring systems.
- Experience with visualisation tools, such as CATIA V5 or V6, and lightweight file viewers.
- Excellent understanding of 2D drawings and electrical circuits.
- Experience in creating Engineering Change Requests and managing the implementation of changes.
- Experience in leading DFMEA and System (Electrical Interface) Reviews.
