Senior Decontamination Manager

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of expertise in decontamination services. As a Senior Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the service delivery, ensuring that high-quality services are provided to patients and staff.
Main Responsibilities- Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day service delivery operations, ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with established procedures and protocols.
- Specialist Practice: Provide high-quality service as a qualified Senior Specialist, utilizing your expertise to ensure that all decontamination activities are carried out safely and effectively.
- Support Clinical Care: Contribute to patient care through specialized decontamination services, working closely with clinical teams to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.
- Professional Judgement: Use your specialist skills to review scientific data and ensure safety, making informed decisions to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Autonomous Work: Operate independently, taking ownership of your work and making decisions without supervision.
- Deputising Role: Step in for the Sterile Services Manager as needed, providing leadership and guidance to the team.
- Self-Management: Plan your workload and work with minimal supervision, prioritizing tasks and managing your time effectively.
- Budget Management: Work within budget constraints, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and effectively.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with and support the decontamination team, working together to achieve common goals and objectives.
- Staff Management and Training: Manage and train staff to maintain high performance, providing guidance and support to ensure that all team members are equipped to carry out their roles effectively.
- Qualified as a Senior Specialist.
- Extensive knowledge of decontamination services.
- Strong judgement and ability to interpret scientific data.
- Leadership and team management experience.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
