- Specialist Practice: Provide high-quality decontamination services, utilizing your expertise to ensure the safe and effective processing of medical equipment.
- Support Clinical Care: Contribute to the clinical care of patients by providing decontamination services that meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Professional Judgement: Use your specialist knowledge and skills to review scientific data and ensure the safe and effective operation of the decontamination service.
- Autonomous Work: Work independently, making decisions and taking actions to ensure the smooth operation of the decontamination service.
- Deputising Role: Deputise for the Sterile Services Manager as needed, ensuring continuity of service and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Self-Management: Plan and manage your workload, working with minimal supervision to achieve your goals and objectives.
- Budget Management: Work within budget constraints, ensuring the efficient use of resources and minimizing waste.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with and support the decontamination team, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
- Staff Management and Training: Manage and train staff to maintain high performance and ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
- Holds a postgraduate degree or equivalent level of management experience.
- Experience of investigating incidents and implementing corrective actions.
- Knowledge and experience of working with service level agreements/contracts.
- Experience of Human Resource management, including staff training and development.
- Ability to recognize and monitor parameters of quality, accuracy, and imprecision according to quality procedures and legislative requirements.
- Chartered Membership of the IDSC or ability to obtain within 6 months of start date.
