Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Service Officer to join our team at Shared Services Partnership. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing personalized support to individuals with learning disabilities and additional needs, enabling them to develop the skills and confidence needed to live safely and independently in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Residential Service Officer, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing personalized support to individuals with learning disabilities and additional needs, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Developing and implementing person-centred care plans, tailored to the individual's unique needs and goals.
  • Working collaboratively with the care team to ensure seamless support and care delivery.
  • Assisting with daily living tasks, such as eating, drinking, and personal care, as needed.
  • Supporting individuals with communication and social skills development.
  • Participating in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in care and support.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of care services and the needs of individuals with learning disabilities and additional needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with individuals, families, and colleagues.
  • Experience in a care or support setting, with a focus on person-centred care and support.
  • Basic IT skills and the ability to accurately record information.

Working Arrangements:

This is a 24/7 service, and you will be required to work a shift pattern to respond to the demands of the service. Your working pattern will include working every other weekend and a variety of shifts, including early, late, sleep-in shifts, and bank holidays, for which enhancements will be paid.
