As a Pre-Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between technical solutions and business needs. You'll work closely with the sales team, clients, and internal technical teams to deliver expert advice, designs, and proposals. This is a client-facing role that requires excellent communication, technical knowledge, and a passion for providing the best possible solutions to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend meetings with clients and prospects to demonstrate your technical knowledge and understand their needs.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify customer requirements and design tailored IT solutions.
- Gather and analyze client information to build effective solutions that align with their business goals.
- Produce comprehensive documentation, designs, and proposals for both clients and internal stakeholders.
- Deliver technical presentations to internal teams and external clients to showcase solutions.
- Work with internal teams to provide feedback on current products and contribute to the development of new offerings.
- Create detailed scopes of work for project delivery teams and ensure the successful implementation of projects.
- Offer technical solutions in a professional manner and within agreed timeframes.
- Actively promote and provide quotes for managed services, support, and technical solutions.
- Provide accurate and timely management information, activity reports, and forecasts.
- Provide technical specialist support across various platforms, including Microsoft Server/365/Azure, HPe Server/Storage, Aruba Switching, Dell Server/Storage, SonicWALL Firewall/Switching, Ruckus Wi-Fi/Switching, and other leading specialist vendors.
Mandatory Skills:
- MS 365 and Azure: Design, architecting, and migrations (security, Endpoint Manager, Business Prem/E3 stack).
- Virtualisation: VMWare vSphere, Hyper-V.
- Storage – SANs: HP MSA/Nimble, Dell MD.
- Windows Server and Active Directory.
- Exchange Server and SQL Server.
- Switching: Dynamic routing, dynamic VLANs.
- Firewalling: Next-generation firewalls and perimeter security.
- Wi-Fi: Enterprise-grade solutions.
- Communication Networks: Strong understanding of lease lines, radio, FTTP, and similar technologies.
