Safeguarding Manager

We are seeking a passionate Safeguarding Manager to join our team on an interim basis. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our vulnerable customers.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive safeguarding strategy to ensure the protection of vulnerable individuals.
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues in identifying and reporting safeguarding concerns, including delivering training on types and signs of abuse.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with external agencies to ensure a collaborative approach to safeguarding.
- Oversee case management, ensuring data is tracked and positive outcomes are achieved to reduce risk and harm.
- Develop and maintain safeguarding policies, ensuring compliance with legislative frameworks and best practices.
- Handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism, supporting colleagues with complex cases.
- Represent us in external safeguarding forums and ensure our practices meet the highest standards.
- You will need experience in managing complex safeguarding cases involving both adults and children.
- You should have knowledge of relevant legislative frameworks, including Safeguarding, Mental Capacity, Domestic Abuse, and reporting processes.
- A Level 3 Safeguarding qualification is required.
- You should be able to educate and support colleagues on identifying and reporting potential abuse cases.
- You should have strong partnership management skills and the ability to challenge professional differences when necessary.
- You should have experience in working with specialist groups such as older people, young people, and adults at risk.
- Contract: Interim (anticipated up to January 2025)
- Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week), with flexible and part-time working options available.
- Salary: Up to £23.95 per hour (£46,000 per annum)
- DBS Check: Enhanced level required.
