About the Role:

New Directions Holding is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team in the SEND and EBD education sector. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) in a variety of schools across the Thanet area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a short-term fix, fulfilling the role of the absent teacher or support staff member as and when necessary.
  • Provide support to students with SEND and EBD in a classroom environment.
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.

Requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • A formal qualification such as a British Bachelor's or Master's Degree is essential.
  • Previous experience in a classroom environment is desirable.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different schools and environments.
  • A passion for teaching and education.
  • A creative approach to teaching and learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
