Crossrail Technician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Railway Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Alstom. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our trains.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out routine maintenance and repair tasks on Aventra Units, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards.
- Take overall responsibility for vehicle examinations, ensuring that all maintenance instructions are followed and that vehicles are safe and defect-free.
- Undertake all types of maintenance examination work, including fault finding and repair, to ensure that trains are safe and reliable.
- Take responsibility for the safe, efficient, and professional workmanship of oneself and others under your control.
- Identify potential Health and Safety concerns and report them to the Shift Production Manager or Facility Management Team.
- Ensure compliance with all laid-down H&S legislation and depot procedures to maintain a safe and accident-free environment.
- Keep the work area clean and tidy, maintaining the highest standards at all times.
- Support the Shift Production Manager in delivering Quality, Waste Reduction, Delivery, and EHS targets.
- Produce comprehensive reports on specific fault-finding investigations.
- Identify potential improvements and feedback to Engineering.
- Constantly search for ways to improve processes.
- Responsible for coaching staff in good working practices and quality standards, and supporting the Shift Production Manager in identifying training needs.
- NVQL3 Qualification or equivalent.
- Demonstrate excellence in approach to work and people activities.
- Practical hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Safety Critical Competencies.
- Fault finding electrically and mechanically.
- Accurate completion of all paperwork prior to supervisor validation.
- Highly self-motivated individual, able to work under own initiative.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
