About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Crossrail Maintenance Technician to join our team at Alstom. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our railway systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, repair, and fault-finding on Aventra Units to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Take overall responsibility for vehicle examinations in line with vehicle maintenance instructions (VMI's).
  • Undertake all types of maintenance examination work to ensure that we provide a safe, reliable, and defect-free train.
  • Take responsibility for the safe, efficient, and professional workmanship of oneself and others under your control.
  • Undertake 'Designated Person' and 'Nominated Person' safety responsibility for applying Depot Protection System and ensure safe systems of work methods are applied.

Requirements

  • NVQL3 Qualification or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate excellence in approach to work and people activities.
  • Practical hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Safety Critical Competencies.
  • Fault finding electrically and mechanically.
  • Responsible for accurate completion of all paperwork prior to supervisor validation.
  • Highly self-motivated individual, able to work under your own initiative.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
