Position Overview:
Independent Living Solutions Ltd is seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to assist a young girl with complex medical needs. This role is vital in providing care and support to enhance her quality of life.

Location: Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire

Shifts Available:
We are looking for individuals who can cover a variety of shifts, including weekdays and weekends. The available shifts are as follows:
Term-time:
Monday to Friday: 6:30 AM - 10:00 AM & 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM
School Holidays:
Monday to Friday: Hours available between 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM
Weekends:
Saturday and Sunday: 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM (shifts can be shared among multiple staff members).

Compensation:
£17.00 per hour for weekdays (6:00 AM - 8:00 PM)
£18.00 per hour for weekends (6:00 AM - 8:00 PM)
£19.00 per hour for waking nights (8:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
£18.00 per hour for bank holidays (excluding waking nights).

Driver Requirements:
Essential; candidates must have their own vehicle for commuting to work.

Experience Required:
Prior experience with complex medical needs, particularly with children diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, is essential. Knowledge of PEG feeding is also required.

Desirable Skills:
Experience working with children who have experienced trauma and a keen interest in therapeutic practices.

Accommodation:
Support Workers will be provided with accommodation in an un-adapted family home while on duty.

Interview Process:
Interviews will be conducted as applications are received, potentially via video call.

Role Responsibilities:
As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting with all care needs and monitoring skin integrity.
- Preparing for and transporting the child to therapy sessions.
- Engaging in community activities that the child enjoys.
- Supporting physiotherapy and hydrotherapy sessions as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Administering medication and managing PEG feeding as necessary.
