We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical leadership and clinical expertise to our community mental health services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide timely and comprehensive assessment, interventions, and treatment to service users and their families/carers.
- Lead a multi-disciplinary team to ensure safe and high-quality care delivery.
- Develop and implement evidence-based care pathways and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with local services and partner organizations to meet the needs of individuals with complex mental health needs.
- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior doctors and medical students.
- Eligible for inclusion on the specialist register (senior trainees must be within six months of CCT at the point of interview).
- Experience in General Adult Psychiatry at ST 4-6 level or equivalent senior level in a variety of settings, including in-patient and community.
- Awareness of current guidelines for the assessment and treatment of mental disorder.
- Eligibility for Approved Clinician status and knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act.
- Dedicated SPA time of up to 25% of working hours.
- Paid study leave (on application and approval) in addition to CPD.
- Potential of extra PA for DCC with requisite pay per PA.
- Inclusion on the Consultant on-call rota for the higher level with 3%, 5%, or 8% requisite pay depending on frequency.
- A range of recruitment incentives available, including up to £8k relocation package.
