We are seeking a skilled Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician to become a vital part of our team at Marmion.

Role Responsibilities

In this role, you will deliver both electrical and mechanical engineering support to our manufacturing operations. Our facility is known for its high output, producing millions of units weekly, making it crucial to maintain optimal operational efficiency. Your responsibilities will include monitoring equipment performance and executing maintenance and repairs as required. Candidates must be residents of the UK and live in the surrounding area.

Primary Duties:

  • Conduct fault diagnosis, repairs, and maintenance on high-speed automated production machinery.
  • Perform both reactive and scheduled maintenance on a variety of specialized and advanced equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all engineering protocols, including Health and Safety regulations, hygiene standards, and general maintenance practices.
  • Identify, report, and escalate any machinery defects or signs of potential failure to the Engineering Manager.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in a manufacturing setting, particularly within the FMCG sector, ideally in food and beverage production. You should be proficient in both electrical and mechanical maintenance, with a solid background in automated process control and servo motor systems.

Essential Skills:

  • Expertise in electrical fault diagnosis and installation/testing.
  • Capability to replace and set up inverters/controllers.
  • Experience in mechanical servicing and repairs, including welding and turning.
  • Knowledge of site services such as compressors, steam boilers, water treatment, and electrical distribution.
  • Relevant qualifications in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (City & Guilds or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with network control ASi systems.
  • Experience in PLC programming, specifically with Siemens and Allen Bradley systems.
  • Proficiency in process control fault diagnosis.
  • Must be a UK resident with the right to work in the UK.
