About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical and Electrical Engineer to join our team at Marmion, a leading FMCG manufacturer. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing electrical and mechanical engineering support to our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fault finding, repairs, and maintenance on high-speed, automated manufacturing machinery.
  • Undertaking reactive and planned maintenance on a range of specialist and high-tech machinery, predominately Krones.
  • Ensuring all engineering procedures are adhered to, including Health and Safety, quality, hygiene, and general housekeeping.
  • Observing, recognising, and reporting on machinery and component defects or symptoms of impending failure, escalating potential problems.
  • Performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on major issues and communicating to the wider team.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment within the FMCG industry, preferably food and beverage.
  • Multi-skilled engineer with expertise in electrical and mechanical maintenance, fault finding, and resolution.
  • Solid automated process control/PLC experience and servo motor control knowledge.
  • Electrical fault finding and installation/testing.
  • Ability to replace, set up, and test inverters/controllers.
  • Mechanical servicing and repairs – Welding/turning.
  • Understanding of site services: Compressors, steam boilers, water treatment, electrical distribution.
  • Electrical/Mechanical City & Guilds or equivalent qualification.
  • Understanding of network control ASi systems.
  • PLC programming experience: Siemens, Allen Bradley.
  • Process control fault finding.
