We are a leading logistics company seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Import Operations Assistant to join our team in the UK. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring smooth import processes for our customers.

About You:

  • You will have 1 - 2 years relevant experience in import operations or a related field.
  • You are a strong communicator, both internally and externally, with excellent written and verbal skills.
  • You maintain a positive attitude and professional approach at all times, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

  • You have a keen eye for detail and a proven ability to meet deadlines, with a strong understanding of import regulations and procedures.
  • You are proficient in MS Office and have experience with customs and port systems, with a strong desire to learn and improve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with our import customers, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Process import clearances efficiently, ensuring timely and accurate completion within a 2-hour turnaround time.
  • Assist with raising T1 entries, accurately completing all necessary documentation and procedures.
  • Complete CHEDs/IPAFFs pre-notifications, ensuring all necessary information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Arrange import declarations, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Claim UCNs from the port system, ensuring all necessary procedures are followed.
  • Complete assigned training courses, staying up-to-date with the latest import regulations and procedures.
  • Manage and update job file costs and charges, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
  • Generate duty invoices promptly, ensuring all necessary information is accurate and up-to-date.
