In this pivotal role, you will embark on a journey of in-depth research and analysis to elevate our response and throughput across multiple archive access channels. Your work will directly contribute to revenue generation, audience reach, and engagement through commercial, educational, and cultural reuse of collections. This position will be instrumental in advancing the BFI's 2033 Screen Heritage Strategy to become the world's most open archive.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Operations and Archive Access teams to conduct proactive research, evaluate incoming proposals, and deliver targeted results, support, and analysis as required.
  • Execute tasks that align with our EDI priorities and commitment to decolonizing collections.
  • Assist in reviewing and implementing customer relationship management tools, as well as evaluating sales, audience engagement, and performance metrics.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable knowledge in film, cinema history, and/or cultural studies within the library information and archival domain, equivalent to a degree level.
  • Significant prior experience utilizing Information or Science Information Management skillsets in a professional context.
  • Knowledge of database structures and software used for cataloguing and indexing both analogue and digital collections.
  • Understanding of minimum cataloguing and metadata standards and schema for describing assets and facilitating their discovery and retrieval.
