We are pleased to offer a 10PA (programmed activity) position in Maxillofacial Surgery.

The successful candidate will join the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department at Barts Health Trust. Applicants should possess substantial experience in maxillofacial surgery. The role will involve undertaking professional dental responsibilities and overseeing trainees in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Candidates must hold full registration with the United Kingdom General Dental Council (GDC) and the General Medical Council (GMC), including specialist registration in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Essential Criteria

Dental & Medical Qualification MFDS or equivalent FRCS OMFS ATLS

Desirable Criteria

Post Graduate Qualification in a related subject.

Experience

Essential Criteria

CCST in OMFS or within six months of qualification

Desirable Criteria

Previous experience in a locum Consultant OMFS position Post CCST experience

Clinical Skills

Essential Criteria

Ability to work independently at consultant level

Desirable Criteria

Willingness to take on responsibilities Flexibility and cooperation with colleagues

Teaching

Essential Criteria

Experience in teaching and evidence of integrating feedback into practice.

Desirable Criteria

Post-graduate teaching qualification (e.g., PGCert, MSc, PhD)

Audit

Essential Criteria

Evidence of auditing own/departmental practice.
