Job SummaryAs an Electrical Mechanical Engineer at Equinix, you will be responsible for maintaining the electrical and mechanical infrastructure across our various sites. This includes standby power generators, AC units, and chilled water systems. This is a 24/7 position, therefore you will be working shift work (including nights).
Responsibilities- Perform site inspections and monitor building and Data Centre alarms.
- Ensure preventative maintenance on site infrastructure is conducted (e.g. maintenance of primary infrastructures), or handled by vendors with your oversight.
- Maintain repairs and run corrective maintenance on equipment.
- Prepare and carry out planned maintenance.
- Complete site logs and data gathering for permits, such as MOPs and scripts.
- Complete basic work requests and circuit installations.
- Participate in ongoing infrastructure projects.
- Carry out small works projects.
- ONC/BTEC/NVQ or equivalent qualification in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering.
- Previous data center / critical environment experience.
- Self-motivated and flexible.
- Clean UK Driving licence.
