Senior Assurance Manager: Financial Governance and Compliance

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Assurance Manager to join our Financial Governance and Compliance team at Allwyn UK. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective implementation and monitoring of our financial assurance and compliance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and embed the Assurance, Compliance, and Risk frameworks and objectives across Finance and Trust, with a focus on enhancing risk management, controls activity, real-time compliance, governance, outcomes, and monitoring activities.
- Support the Finance Director and wider Finance team to ensure the effective implementation, execution, and monitoring of the National Lottery licence conditions, Matters to be Protected, Trust Deed, and Fund Protection policies.
- Provide assurance through regular reporting, updates, KPIs, and dashboards to the Finance Director and CFO and his reports, and various Governance committees, on the effectiveness of Allwyn's control environment with respect to all areas of responsibility of the Finance function.
- Evaluate and enhance the Finance team's self-assessment control framework and risk register, identifying areas for continuous improvement.
- Act as the primary interface between the Finance function and the central Assurance function (Risk, Compliance, Governance, Regulatory affairs).
- Strong understanding of finance and compliance, with a qualified ACA or ACCA accountant and an audit and/or compliance, regulatory, and assurance background.
- Bright, highly analytical, and intellectually agile, with the ability to learn and manage complexity quickly.
- High level of integrity and independence, with the ability to successfully partner with the business in meaningful ways through building trusting relationships and connections.
- Strong collaborator, influencer, listener, with the ability to build consensus and a constructive working relationship across the organization.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and executive presence, with the ability to influence a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic mindset.
- Demonstrate experience of leadership and operating at a senior leadership level within Risk, Compliance, and/or Internal Audit.
- Experience of developing and leading a team to deliver the company's goals.
