Print Operations Supervisor

The role of the Print Operations Supervisor involves overseeing the daily activities of the Print Room. The primary duty is to ensure the efficient production of all client documentation, including reports, presentations, marketing materials, and seminar brochures, while adhering to strict timelines. This position requires prioritizing requests to accommodate varying deadlines and conducting quality checks on all printed materials prior to distribution.

  • Oversee the Print Room operations, taking full responsibility for the timely production of client documentation.
  • Prioritize printing requests to meet diverse deadlines while ensuring the quality of all materials before they are sent out.
  • Communicate progress updates to stakeholders requesting printed materials.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks for printers and booklet-making equipment, and coordinate with suppliers for necessary repairs and servicing.
  • Ensure an adequate supply of consumables for printers, booklet makers, and essential stationery for binding processes, while also managing invoice approvals.
  • Compile and submit the annual sustainability report regarding printer paper and envelope usage.
  • Maintain records of usage and costs for annual analysis.
  • Engage with suppliers to secure the best pricing for paper and printed materials.
  • Evaluate and select new suppliers as needed, ensuring quality and service standards are upheld.
  • Change printer paper as necessary, ensuring compliance with company guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on any branding updates or enhancements.
  • Work alongside IT to select new printing and binding equipment as required.
  • Provide training for users and new employees on printing equipment.
  • Assess and implement improvements to the print area within budgetary constraints.
  • Act as a deputy for the Facilities Manager and Facilities Officer during their absence, assisting with critical tasks and contractor engagements.
  • Support the Facilities Officer with all stationery-related matters.
  • Assist the Facilities Department with office relocations, internal adjustments, manual handling, and other standard facilities duties.
  • Conduct fire evacuation training for new employees if the Facilities Manager is unavailable.
  • Maintain logs and records for Fire Wardens and First Aiders, and coordinate annual training sessions.
