About the Role:

Rochdale Council is seeking a dedicated and skilled Attendance Coordinator to enhance our educational environment. This position is pivotal in fostering a culture of regular school attendance, which is essential for the academic and personal development of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement strategies to promote and improve student attendance.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including parents, educators, and support staff, to address attendance-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate records and manage caseloads effectively.
  • Engage with families to provide support and guidance, ensuring students have the necessary resources to attend school consistently.
  • Work closely with the Child Welfare Officer and school leadership to uphold safeguarding and attendance policies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to motivate and engage with students and families.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written.
  • Experience in managing multiple priorities and working under pressure.
  • Knowledge of child protection, safeguarding, and inclusion practices.

Working Hours: 7.45am-3.15pm (30-minute lunch)
