Production Operative Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Production Operative to join our team at People Solutions Group Limited in Edinburgh.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to production, including removing packaging, opening crates, and unloading machinery. They will also assist machine operators, sort and pack orders, and ensure quality assurance of products.

Key Responsibilities
  • General duties such as removing packaging, opening crates, and unloading machinery
  • Assist machine operators
  • Sorting, picking, and packing orders
  • Quality assurance of products
  • Record stock
  • Clean and maintain warehouse
  • Compliance with health and safety
Requirements
  • Teamwork: Ability to work well as part of a team. Friendly, approachable, and cooperative.
  • Flexibility: Responds effectively to changing circumstances. Adjusts tasks and priorities when required.
  • Customer Service: Good understanding of customer deliverables and the need for strong quality. Ability to work to essential quality standards.
  • Organisation: Ability to plan and organise work. Ability to work on own initiative, with minimum supervision.
  • Health & Safety: Understanding of health and safety requirements.
Desirable Experience
  • Current forklift truck certification and/or qualification to drive assisted lift equipment (Desirable but not essential)
  • Prior work experience as a laborer in a similar environment.
  • Fit for manual handling.
Training
  • Full training provided by client
