The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the senior leadership team in managing student behaviour and providing high-quality pastoral care to students in secondary schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Student Behaviour Management: Develop and implement effective behaviour management strategies to promote positive student behaviour and reduce incidents of misbehaviour.
- Pastoral Care: Provide high-quality pastoral care to students, including supporting students with emotional and social needs, and working with teachers to develop individualised support plans.
- Collaboration with Teachers: Work closely with teachers to develop and implement behaviour management strategies, and provide support and guidance to teachers in managing challenging student behaviour.
- On-Call Support: Provide on-call support to students and teachers, including responding to incidents of misbehaviour and providing support to students in crisis.
- Behaviour Management Strategies: Develop and implement behaviour management strategies, including restorative practices, positive reinforcement, and de-escalation techniques.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents to ensure that all parties are informed and supported in managing student behaviour.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience working with students in a secondary school setting, with a focus on behaviour management and pastoral care.
- Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
- Behaviour Management: Experience in developing and implementing behaviour management strategies, including restorative practices, positive reinforcement, and de-escalation techniques.
- Safeguarding: Ability to pass an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, and up-to-date safeguarding training.
