About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineering Lecturer to join our team at Academics. As a Mechanical Engineering Lecturer, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education to our students and contributing to the growth and development of our Engineering department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging and effective teaching materials to inspire outstanding learning outcomes.
  • Monitor and track learner progress to promote positive outcomes and ensure students achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching methods and resources.
  • Provide support and guidance to students, including those with special educational needs.
  • Contribute to the development of the Engineering department and participate in departmental meetings and activities.
Requirements
  • Relevant Mechanical Engineering degree and teaching qualification (e.g. QTS or Level 5 Teaching qualification).
  • Experience of teaching Mechanical Engineering in a Further Education setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, with a flexible and proactive approach to work.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to contribute to the growth and success of the Engineering department.
