Role Overview

Vistry Group PLC is seeking a skilled Partnerships Housing Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Partnerships Division, you will play a crucial role in delivering affordable homes across our business, adhering to contractual and planning requirements, budget, and timescales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiate contracts for the sale of affordable housing to registered providers and other affordable housing providers.
  • Obtain and analyze affordable housing offers.
  • Provide a comprehensive affordable housing service to regional business units.
  • Research and evaluate local authority housing requirements.
  • Negotiate affordable housing terms in Section 106 Agreements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with registered provider clients.
  • Negotiate the sale of open market housing plots to registered providers as required.
  • Undertake scheme financial appraisals and viability assessments.
  • Advise business units on design requirements to meet client expectations.
  • Attend project meetings with business units, clients, and local authorities to advise on affordable housing requirements.
  • Advise business units on grant funding criteria and conditions.
Requirements
  • Previous experience within a housing association, residential house builder/developer, or local authority.
  • Experience of negotiating Section 106 agreements and affordable housing contracts.
  • Housing/Construction background within a development team.
  • Strong understanding of the sale and purchase process for land and property on a freehold and leasehold basis.
  • Thorough understanding of the housing development process.
  • Project management and financial skills.
  • Delivery and customer-focused approach.
  • Strong financial and numeracy skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Understanding of social housing mix standards and funding of future programs.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholder relationships.
Desirable
  • Degree-level qualification with a development-related qualification (e.g., MRICS) being an advantage.
