Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 3 shift pattern (Days, afternoons & nights)

Salary: £36,373.39 (plus shift allowance) + Overtime (Shift manning cover and planned maintenance work)

Candour Talent Recruitment is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team in the Ebbw Vale area.

  • Welding and fabrication skills are essential for this role.
  • The successful candidate will work with a safe and logical approach to installation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Additional support to the project department may be required.
  • Proficiency in machine shop skills such as lathes, milling equipment, drills, cutting, burning, and welding is highly desirable.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Engineering is a requirement for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment.
  • Conduct welding and fabrication tasks as required.
  • Work safely and efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with the project department as needed.

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in mechanical maintenance.
  • Strong welding and fabrication skills.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
