About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our Corporate Services Division as an Information Governance Apprentice. This exciting opportunity will provide the successful candidate with the chance to develop their knowledge and practical understanding of Freedom of Information, Subject Access rights, and the Data Protection Act.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and promote positive change to the Council's information governance and the quality of service we provide.
  • Work with a team of specialist professionals in a range of situations to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate complex situations.
  • Develop your ability to critically reflect and make decisions within a clear professional and legislative framework.
Requirements
  • Evidence of suitable academic ability, including GCSE Maths and English (Grade A-C or 9-4) or equivalent.
  • An interest in the Freedom of Information and Data Protection Acts.
  • Experience of Microsoft office applications, such as Word, Excel, and Teams (or similar).
  • Keen to learn and motivated to succeed.
What We Offer

  • Information and Records Management Society for Individual member grade.
  • The British Computer Society for Associate member grade.
