Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Freight Forwarder to join our team at SKILLFRAME. As a key member of our Cargo Department, you will be responsible for handling customer inquiries, discussing requirements, and working on air, road, and sea freight quotes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle customer inquiries and provide expert advice on freight options
  • Work closely with air, sea, and road carriers to book cargo space and negotiate rates
  • Prepare shipping documentation to meet carriage requirements, legislation, and ISO standards
  • Process customs declarations using Descartes and screen freight material
  • Communicate daily with customers, suppliers, and third parties regarding movement details
  • Maintain accurate file administration, including sales and supplier invoicing, credit notes, and documentation
  • Prepare and process Dangerous Goods shipments in accordance with IATA DG rules and regulations

Requirements:

  • Experience in a cargo department with a high level of attention to detail
  • Knowledge of CDS/CHIEF, CCS UK, airline sheds, and ETSF warehouse and import clearances
  • Strong communication, presentation, and numerical skills
  • A professional approach with a genuine desire to grow skills and a can-do attitude
