Culinary Supervisor - The Real Greek

At The Real Greek, we are dedicated to celebrating traditional Greek and Mediterranean cuisine, fostering a love for food, family, and community. As a close-knit team, we pride ourselves on our experienced staff and a supportive work environment that encourages growth and development.

We provide comprehensive training in our culinary offerings and daily kitchen operations. However, it is essential that you possess the ability to adapt quickly. Proficiency with grilling, understanding ticket orders, and effectively coordinating food preparations with the team are crucial for success in this role. We seek a passionate individual who can inspire and mentor our kitchen staff alongside our Head Chef.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Kitchen Management

  • Ensure the kitchen operates in accordance with company standards.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with the Head Chef.
  • Oversee preparation levels and provide clear instructions to kitchen staff.
  • Assist in managing stock levels and inventory.
  • Ensure the kitchen is maintained and serviced as needed.
  • Work towards achieving compliance with audit requirements.
  • Lead the kitchen team in the absence of the Head Chef.

Food Quality, Presentation, and Hygiene Standards

  • Participate in health and safety training, as well as food safety training.
  • Ensure all dishes served to customers are prepared with the highest quality ingredients.
  • Be responsible for maintaining food quality and hygiene standards among kitchen staff.
  • Report any concerns regarding food quality or freshness to management.
  • Adhere to stock labeling and rotation systems to ensure proper inventory management.
  • Communicate any equipment malfunctions promptly.
  • Verify the quality and quantity of all incoming produce.
  • Ensure accurate completion of all kitchen documentation, including cleaning schedules and temperature logs.
  • Team Development
  • Assist the Head Chef in training new kitchen staff.
  • Ensure that all kitchen personnel are performing to their fullest potential through effective training and development.
  • Provide constructive feedback to the Head Chef regarding team performance.
