Overview: Support the daily accounting and financial operations of the organization.
Reporting Structure: This position reports directly to the Financial & Management Accountant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including the processing of vendor invoices and accurately entering payments into online banking systems.
  • Oversee and maintain profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and control accounts.
  • Assist in the processing of basic payroll functions.
  • Prepare quarterly management accounts and perform reconciliations.
  • Support the preparation and submission of VAT returns and reconcile VAT ledgers.
  • Assist with the preparation of ATED returns.
  • Contribute to the preparation of annual financial statements.
  • Coordinate with external accountants for the preparation and submission of Annual Financial Statements and Corporation Tax Returns.
  • Engage with HMRC and other regulatory bodies as necessary.
  • Continuously evaluate accounting and finance procedures to ensure optimal efficiency.


Essential Skills:

  • Strong technical accounting skills.
  • Experience with Xero is advantageous, though not essential.
  • Proactive approach to contributing to the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Effective workload prioritization.
  • Commitment to maintaining professional knowledge and continuous professional development.
