London, Greater London, United Kingdom M&G CWS Full time

AMS is recognized as a premier provider of Talent Acquisition and Management Services. Our Contingent Workforce Solutions (CWS) collaborate with M&G to facilitate contingent recruitment processes.

On behalf of M&G, AMS is seeking a Solvency II Reporting Manager for a contract position. This role offers a hybrid working model.

M&G aims to be the most cherished and successful savings and investment enterprise. They are in search of individuals who are enthusiastic about contributing to their mission. With a strong focus on digital transformation, M&G is investing significantly in technology and innovation to create enhanced customer offerings that elevate the experience for their clients. To realize their objectives, they seek outstanding individuals who embody their values and behaviors, inspire others, embrace change, achieve results, and simplify processes.

Role Overview:

We are in need of a proactive and seasoned accountant to oversee various regulatory reporting functions within the Group. Given the current landscape of external changes, we require a professional to assist with both routine operations and the implementation of the PRA's Solvency UK QRTs. As part of the Group Reporting team, you will collaborate with the Finance Centre of Excellence to deliver the Group's quarterly and annual regulatory submissions to the PRA, in addition to contributing to the Group's published SFCR.

As a Solvency II Reporting Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating the transition of new Solvency UK reporting standards into operational practice
  • Overseeing the Group's Solvency II quarterly balance sheet consolidation, which involves reviewing inputs from business units, eliminations, and consolidation adjustments
  • Managing the preparation of the Group's Solvency II quarterly and annual Quantitative Reporting Templates for submission to the PRA
  • Conducting testing and ensuring the successful implementation of new Solvency UK reporting standards
  • Producing control and review outputs for governance sign-off (including CFO and Audit Committee levels)
  • Supporting the broader team by contributing to technical and methodological documentation regarding the implications for Solvency II reporting
  • Collaborating with colleagues and taking personal responsibility to uphold and enhance the controls you manage, thereby improving the overall control environment, customer outcomes, and minimizing operational risk for M&G Plc

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant, ideally with experience in a life and pensions organization
  • Proficient knowledge and experience in regulatory reporting, particularly Solvency II; familiarity with the new Solvency UK requirements is advantageous
  • Experience in the production and execution of consolidation processes within a life and pensions or financial services setting
  • Background in change management is preferred
  • Experience in managing a small team is a plus

If you meet the qualifications for this role, we encourage you to apply, and we will reach out to you in due course.

The IR35 status of this assignment will be evaluated following the selection process and before the confirmation of the assignment offer.

'At M&G, Diversity and Inclusion is a strategic priority. We understand that an inclusive environment enhances accessibility and ensures we attract, engage, promote, and retain exceptional talent. We welcome applications from all individuals, regardless of age, gender/gender identity, sexual orientation, ethnicity/nationality, disability, or military service, and we encourage those who have taken career breaks to apply. Flexible working arrangements will be considered for any of our roles.'

AMS, as a Recruitment Process Outsourcing Company, may, in the delivery of some of its services, be regarded as operating as an Employment Agency or an Employment Business.
