Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Nurse to join our Reserves Occupational Health Care team at Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC). As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality, occupationally focused primary healthcare to members of the volunteer reserve forces (VRF) personnel.

Main Responsibilities
  • Receiving and evaluating requests for occupationally focused healthcare from VRF members and Reserve Unit chains of command.
  • Providing initial assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating care with a high level of autonomy.
  • Appraising and summarizing patients' health care records relevant to military employability and referring to medical colleagues for further assessment.
  • Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in areas relating to occupationally focused healthcare for Reserve personnel, including occupational health and travel medicine.

Requirements
  • Registered General Nurse with demonstrable experience working at Band 5 or above.
  • Registration with the relevant professional body.
  • Hepatitis B immunity, with serology report required.
  • Experience working in a primary care or occupational health setting.
