Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Radiography Assistant Practitioner to join our team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals. As a key member of our x-ray department, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist radiographers in acquiring diagnostic-quality x-rays
  • Provide support in patient chaperoning and changing procedures
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and maintain competency
  • Collaborate with radiography practitioners to ensure a seamless 24-hour service

Person Specification

  • GCSE in English and Mathematics – grade C or above
  • Experience working as an Assistant Practitioner in Radiography
  • Assistant Practitioner Qualification/Equivalent

Knowledge and Experience

  • Previous experience working in an acute healthcare setting
  • Able to demonstrate Health & Safety awareness
  • Aware of the concept and application of confidentiality
