We are seeking a resilient and dedicated Youth Support Worker to join our team at a specialized institution for excluded students in Eastbourne. As a Youth Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic, emotional, and personal development of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deal with challenging situations calmly and sensitively
  • Be creative and think outside the box in your approach to supporting students with additional needs
  • Develop strong and trusting relationships with students
  • Be a team player, working closely with other staff members and external agencies
  • Care deeply about students' academic, emotional, and personal development, showing empathy for their individual circumstances
  • Inspire trust and motivate students with a supportive and encouraging attitude
  • Use your initiative to meet the individual needs of students, considering their communication and learning skills
  • Have a proven track record of working with young people or vulnerable adults, either on a paid or voluntary basis
  • Possess basic IT skills/understanding
