Lead Producer - Sing, Dance, Leap Project

The Royal Ballet and Opera, Opera North, and Northern Ballet are collaborating on an exciting partnership to offer schools and children in Bradford a unique opportunity to channel their ambitions through song and dance. We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Producer to spearhead the coordination and execution of the Sing, Dance, Leap project.

Project Overview

The project aims to celebrate the imagination and aspirations of young Bradfordians through a collaborative performing arts project culminating in a large-scale performance as a centerpiece of Bradford City of Culture 2025. The Lead Producer will play a pivotal role in realising this vision, overseeing all aspects of project planning, implementation, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive project plan encompassing timelines, milestones, and resource allocation in alignment with the project aims and principles.
  • Collaborate with partners, including The Royal Ballet and Opera, Opera North, Northern Ballet, and local schools and partners, to ensure effective coordination and communication throughout the project.
  • Support the engagement and management of the project team, including the creative team, workshop leaders, artists, and production staff.
  • Manage the overall project budget, monitoring expenses, and liaising with the project managers to ensure sub-projects are being delivered within budget.
  • Liaise with partners, venue staff, and production teams to coordinate logistics for rehearsals, performances, and related events.
  • Provide regular progress updates to project stakeholders ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Oversee the evaluation and documentation of project outcomes.
Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Lead Producer with a proven track record in producing large-scale performing arts projects, ideally within a community or educational context. The ideal candidate will have experience working collaboratively with artists, educators, and community stakeholders, with a commitment to fostering inclusivity and diversity.
