We are seeking an exceptional Subject Lead for Creative Arts and Design Technology to join our team at Laisterdyke Leadership Academy. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for leading and developing our Creative Arts and Design Technology curriculum, ensuring that our students receive a high-quality education that prepares them for success in their future careers.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive Creative Arts and Design Technology curriculum that meets the needs of our students and aligns with the National Curriculum.
- Lead and manage a team of teachers and support staff to deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Creative Arts and Design Technology.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address these.
- Collaborate with other subject leaders to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive curriculum across the academy.
- Contribute to the development of the academy's curriculum and assessment policies.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in a relevant subject area.
- Proven experience of teaching and leading in a secondary school setting.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Ability to analyze data and use it to inform teaching and learning strategies.
Laisterdyke Leadership Academy is a secondary school for 11 to 18 year olds in Bradford. We are part of the Star Academies trust, a high-performing multi-academy trust that runs over 30 primary and secondary schools. Our academy is committed to providing a knowledge-based academic curriculum alongside a rich and diverse leadership programme that grows character and inspires charitable and social action.
