Position Overview - Educational Support Assistant - Speech and Language

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Educational Support Assistant to provide vital assistance in the area of Speech and Language Development. This role is ideal for graduates with a strong interest in Child Development Psychology and Special Educational Needs (SEN).

The successful candidate will work closely with children who face challenges in communication and emotional expression. You will be instrumental in supporting students who are non-verbal, pre-verbal, or have limited speech capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students primarily on a one-to-one basis, focusing on enhancing their speech and language skills.
  • Collaborate with professionals in Speech and Language Therapy, as well as Art and Music Therapy, to implement effective strategies.
  • Utilize creative methods such as art, music, and interactive resources to foster communication and rapport with students.
  • Assist the lead teacher in managing classroom resources and basic behavioral support.
  • Follow personalized improvement plans tailored to each student's needs.
Working Hours:

This is a full-time position, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A 2:1 or 1st class degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong academic background with excellent GCSE and A-Level results.
