Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Clarus Education Ltd. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special educational needs in a primary school setting.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to children with SEN in a 1:1 or group setting
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons to meet the needs of children with SEN
  • Develop and implement strategies to support children with ASD and speech difficulties
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive support plan for each child
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and communicate with parents and teachers as needed

Requirements:

  • Degree from a reputable University preferred
  • Good understanding of SEN and experience working with children with special needs
  • Ability to use own initiative and work independently
  • Calm and compassionate nature, with a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Registered DBS or willingness to apply for one
