Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Clarus Education Ltd. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special educational needs in a primary school setting.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to children with SEN, including ASD and speech difficulties, in and out of the classroom.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring that children with SEN receive the support they need to access the curriculum.
  • Monitor and record children's progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and making recommendations for future support.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure that children receive consistent support and guidance.

Requirements:

  • Degree from a reputable University preferred, with good academics throughout.
  • Good understanding of SEN and experience working with children with special needs.
  • Ability to use own initiative and work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Calm and compassionate nature, with a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Holds a registered DBS or be willing to apply for one ASAP.
