Learning Support Assistant Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a highly regarded Primary school in Brent, London. This role offers a fulfilling opportunity to support and empower children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them reach their full potential.

The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with delivering inclusive learning by accommodating to the needs of children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), including specific needs such as Hearing Loss, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

You will work 1:1 or in small groups, collaborating with and following the guidance of the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) and SEN professionals to aid the holistic development of pupils. Your primary focus will be on guaranteeing a safe and equitable environment for all children.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have obtained a degree in Psychology or Education, with a specialized knowledge of SEND. You should also have previous experience and enthusiasm for working with children, showcasing excellent communication and organizational skills, patience and resilience.

Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary of £475-£550 per week (inclusive of Holiday Pay), paid weekly via PAYE. You will work term-time only, with training and support provided from excellent SENCo and SEN Leadership Team Members.
