Aerospace Estimator Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Estimator to join our team at Robert Hurst Limited. As an Aerospace Estimator, you will be responsible for estimating and managing costs for various construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Meet with clients to assess project scope and requirements
  2. Produce accurate measures and take-offs for projects
  3. Develop and manage project estimates and tenders
  4. Prepare procurement schedules and documents for subcontractors
  5. Identify and engage suitable subcontractors for project works
  6. Prepare client cost reports and billing
  7. Monitor and manage project variations and changes
  8. Assist in financial appraisal of new opportunities
  9. Collaborate with architects and other professionals
  10. Navigate and understand building regulations and codes
  11. Process project paperwork and travel to sites as required
  12. Monitor costs and expenditure across the construction process
Requirements:
  1. Experience in managing costs on projects within industrial and commercial sectors
  2. Skills in estimating, cost control, BOQ, cost management, and cost forecasting and planning
  3. Experience working within a principal building contractor
  4. Ability to create detailed cost reports
  5. Solid experience in the construction industry
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  7. Ability to work under pressure
  8. Professional certification is preferred, but not essential
  9. Driver's license is essential; vehicle will be supplied
  10. Conversant with Microsoft Office, Excel, Project, Bluebeam, and other program software
  11. Experience of JCT & NEC contracts
  12. Educated to HNC/HND/Degree level (or equivalent)
  13. Experience of Pre-Qualification and Tendering process for complex bespoke projects

The full remuneration package will be discussed at the interview stage.
