Senior Decontamination Manager

As a Senior Decontamination Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our sterile services department. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the delivery of high-quality decontamination services to our patients and staff.
Main Responsibilities- Operational Management: You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the sterile services department, ensuring that all services are delivered to the highest standards.
- Specialist Practice: As a qualified Senior Specialist, you will provide high-quality decontamination services to our patients and staff.
- Support Clinical Care: You will contribute to the clinical care of our patients by providing specialized decontamination services.
- Professional Judgement: You will use your specialist skills and knowledge to review scientific data and ensure the safety of our patients and staff.
- Autonomous Work: You will work independently and as an autonomous practitioner, making decisions and taking actions as necessary.
- Deputising Role: You will deputise for the Sterile Services Manager as needed, ensuring continuity of service.
- Self-Management: You will plan your workload and work with minimal supervision, taking ownership of your tasks and responsibilities.
- Budget Management: You will work within budget constraints, ensuring that our services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
- Team Collaboration: You will work collaboratively with our decontamination team, providing support and guidance as needed.
- Staff Management and Training: You will manage and train staff to maintain high performance and ensure that our services are delivered to the highest standards.
- Qualified as a Senior Specialist.
- Extensive knowledge of decontamination services.
- Strong judgement and ability to interpret scientific data.
- Leadership and team management experience.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
Harrogate Integrated Facilities (HIF) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Harrogate and District Foundation NHS Trust (HDFT).
