Job Summary

Mccann Health London, an IPG Health Company, is seeking a skilled Medical Copywriter to join our team. As a Medical Copywriter, you will be responsible for developing high-quality promotional healthcare content for our clients, ensuring it adheres to relevant regulatory requirements.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of excellence in medical copy writing and the ability to mentor others. You will be responsible for independently developing compelling promotional copy, with strong references that meet the client brief and are scientifically accurate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement communication strategies, tactics, and content for healthcare clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scientific integrity and attention to detail in all outputs.
  • Oversee the work of junior writers, ensuring continuity of style and messaging.
  • Participate in new business pitches and contribute to the development of organic growth opportunities.
  • Present work to clients, fielding medical writing questions and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant therapy areas, media formats, and marketing techniques.
  • Implement agency/client review systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support the development of high-quality medical copy for a range of channels, including sales aids, websites, videos, and animations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in medical copy writing, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex scientific and clinical information to provide clear, succinct summaries.
  • Proficient in using Veeva, FUSE, and Proof.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
