Engineering Manager Job Description

Project Start Recruitment is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our clients Engineering department and drive the development, implementation, and maintenance of our Engineering Systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement Engineering Systems to meet AS9100 and Sabre4 standards.
  2. Lead a team of CAD/CAM and manufacturing engineers to deliver engineered systems to manufacturing.
  3. Manage the development and introduction of new products in a profitable and efficient manner.
  4. Liaise with customers on engineering aspects, including creating Non-Conformance to drawing approval requests.
  5. Work with facilities management to ensure CNC systems are suitable for production.
  6. Generate and implement plans for out-of-hours running on specific CNC systems.
  7. Ensure all activities are exercised in accordance with company policy and procedure.

Requirements:

  1. Technical expertise in Design & Manufacturing Engineering with a relevant professional qualification.
  2. Strong drawing understanding and experience in Engineering leadership.
  3. Significant experience in Engineering and demonstrated ability in a leadership position.
  4. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
  5. Familiarity with CNC systems, Agile Methodologies, and industrial Aerospace manufacturing systems.
  6. Knowledge of Solidworks/SolidCAM, Vericut, and robotics.
  7. Working knowledge of quality system models and Project Management processes.
