Senior Cost Manager - Cost Consultancy

About the Role

Perpetual Engineering is seeking a highly experienced Senior Cost Manager to join our Cost Management leadership team in Bristol. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing project delivery, managing teams, and providing technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Employers Agent and undertake Contract Administration duties for a broad variety of landmark projects
  • Develop and implement business development and business planning strategies
  • Develop cost plans for complex projects using advanced estimating software
  • Manage a supporting team of Cost Management colleagues
  • Provide strategic cost advice to design colleagues and client stakeholders
  • Deliver monthly cost reporting to clients
  • Engage in value engineering and risk workshops
  • Advising on and supporting procurement of contractors
  • Deliver the full range of construction stage cost management services

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cost Manager with:

Full membership of the RICS / CIOB or +10 years experience in a specialist subject areaProven experience of commercial leadership of major projects (£50m+)Experience of cost management of NEC3/4 and JCT construction contractsStrong communication and leadership skillsA collaborative approach, including working with large technical teamsA proven ability to deliver to deadlinesExperience of utilising advanced estimating software, together with good practical knowledge of Microsoft SoftwareUK driving licenceWillingness to complete S/C level of security clearance on appointment
